The SPP system is a new technique in the treatment of medial patellar dislocation in dogs and cats. In the surgical treatment of patellar luxation in small animals, a tension band is usually inserted to fix the osteotomized tibial tuberosity. When a band is fitted, the ends of the Kirschner Wires can irritate the skin, or the implant might migrate, requiring them to be removed. The SPP Plate is intended to avoid revision surgeries. |  | |
